About the Artist
Stacy Marko is an American artist who not only exhibits her work but also teaches her craft. Marko earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Painting from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois and went on to pursue a career in education, earning her Masters Degree in Education from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona.
The artist currently teaches Art and Design, Drawing and Painting, Ceramics and Honors Art at McClintock High School in Tempe, Arizona and was the 2020 Arizona Art Educator of the Year. She sponsors the National Art Honor Society at McClintock and is the District Teacher Exhibition Coordinator.
Since 2013, Ms. Marko has also been a Dual Enrollment Instructor at Rio Salado Community College. Marko was an instructor at the Summer Arts Academy at Desert Vista High School. She also taught at Mountain Pointe High School and Desert Vista High School in the Tempe area.
In addition to being a member of NAEA for over 20 years, Marko is currently an Art 7 (formerly Art 6) organizer (2001-2005, 2012-present). Ms. Marko has been a sponsor of NAHS for over 15 years and was involved with Visions (a program with the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art) for 12 years. She also conducts painting classes with Paint, Party, and Wine.
